1990
Hubble telescope launched into space. Nelson Mandela is freed.
1994
The Channel Tunnel, or Euro Tunnel, is complete.
1995
Playstation Invented
1997
Princess Diana dies in a Paris car crash. Scientists manage to clone a sheep. The Pathfinder sends back images of Mars. Tony Blair becomes Prime Minister
1998
The release of the most successful movie ever, Titanic, is released.
2000
Fears of the "Millennium Bug" were proved wrong. Millennium Dome opens. Playstation 2 released.
2001
Foot and Mouth epidemic in Britain. September 11th terrorist attacks in America. George W. Bush Jr. becomes President of the USA.
2002
The Euro becomes currency for 12 countries in Europe. The Queen mother dies aged 101. Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her golden Jubilee, 50 years on the throne.
2003
War in Iraq begins. England win the Rugby World Cup. Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes governor of California. Saddam Hussein captured.
2004
Queen Elizabeth II christens the RMS Queen Mary II, the largest ocean liner to date, the 60th Anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. Tallest bridge in the world built, the Millau Bridge, had a British designer and architect.
2005
Prince Charles marries Camilla Parker Bowles. The Airbus, world largest passenger aeroplane, makes its first flight.
2006
Former Iraqi Leader Saddam Hussein, received the death penalty for his crimes against humanity.
